Job description

BEMS knowledge is essential

The position operates at the regional level carrying out the Contract Management requirements of the business. This is a customer & internal role and therefore the job holder must operate in a manner that best represents the brand image of EON in the best possible way.

Daily interaction with customers, sub-contractors, direct reports, and colleagues is a crucial element of the role and as such demands a person with a positive attitude, superb communication, and organization skills.

There are multiple IT systems embedded in the business and as a result, excellent IT skills and the ability to learn quickly are necessary.

The principle aim of this role is to ensure the project team delivers contracts safely and on time with the best possible financial result for the business, additionally, commercial risks must be managed, mitigated, and eliminated where possible whilst ensuring the client’s expectations are met.

In this role you will be responsible for liaising between the regional manager and the project delivery team so need to own the whole in life project life i.e. commercial, delivery, and staff leadership and management.

Previous BEMS experience is essential

· Reports to Regional Manager.

· Responsibility to protect the commercial interest of the company.

· Full cost management of all projects including monthly cost to complete reviews.

· Prepare for and attend monthly WIP meetings with finance.

· Ensure compliance with company H&S and CDM requirements

· Ensure compliance with company quality procedures across all contracts.

· Attend site Progress Meetings when required.

· Overall responsibility for ensuring the submission of project variations and interim Applications for Payment to the client.

· Overall responsibility for the management of project variations and interim Application for Payment from our supply chain.

· Manage payment certs, Cash flow, and Debt control.

· Negotiate Final Account agreements

· Assist project managers with contractual conflicts or negotiations when they arise

· Co-ordinate with Estimating / Sales at a pre-sales technical/commercial level

· Attend project handover meeting(s) with the Sales and Project Manager to agree on project deliverables.

· Resource management to assist with coordination of resources.

· Prepare monthly revenue forecast reports and WIP Management

· Responsible for overseeing project procurement as necessary

· Responsible for the management and support of Project Managers

· Responsible for the management of sub-contractors, both contractually and commercially.

· Manage sub-contractors and ensure they are not over-committed elsewhere.

· Carry out annual appraisals and highlight any training requirements and personal development needs

· Adhere to all company ISO procedures and documentation

· Ensure all project documentation is complete and handed to operations for warranty service support

· Any other duties deemed necessary by senior management or directors.

Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities

· Promoting and working within company health & safety guidelines.

· Assist the Regional Manager in complying with regional KPIs.’

· Carry out annual appraisals of the project team and all other direct report staff to regularly monitor their performance.

· Communicate, direct, coach and develop reporting managers and teams.

· Deal with any HR issues relating to the team.

· Liaise with internal colleagues to coordinate end-to-end delivery.

· Take the lead and own customer escalation issues through to conclusion.

· Highlight any training needs of the team and organise as necessary for their development.

· Issue regular, accurate order and revenue forecast information to the Regional Manager.

· Provide support to engineers and customers.

Key Challenges

· Budget Management - Ensure effective management of operational costs and sales target delivery.

· People Management - Staff recruitment, retention, and development. Employee satisfaction and motivation. Manage staff attrition.

· Supplier Management - Subcontractor & Product Manufacturers.

· Customer Service - Deliver projects, Management, and reporting of team performance in line with contracted SLAs.

· Escalation Management - Deliver excellent customer service.

· Systems, Processes, and Procedures - Continuous development to ensure business improvement.
