Your responsibilities

  • As Commercial Risk Manager CCU / CCS (f/m/d) you develop and implement a central risk management framework for the Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) business unit, covering the entire value chain
  • You translate risk analysis into pragmatic and project-oriented processes and contractual frameworks, covering technical, commercial, regulatory, market, as well as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) risks
  • You support and advise our project teams in the operational identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of risks
  • You facilitate regular risk workshops, develop project risk registries, and update them based on the latest information from the project teams
  • You lead the quantitative assessment of all project-specific risks in the context of financial modeling/commercial project development
  • You act as a single point of contact for internal risk reporting, work closely with central Group Risk Management, and build the interface to other relevant departments
  • You support the further development of our overall CCUS strategy and the evaluation of new business opportunities with target-oriented risk analyses

 

Your qualifications

  • University degree in a quantitative/financial/economic or risk management discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in risk analysis, risk management and risk assessment in the energy sector
  • Excellent understanding of energy commodity markets and energy economics, CCUS experience beneficial
  • Strongly analytical capabilities combined with a pro-active mindset and playmaker attitude, no sideline controller
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and creativity to interlink technical, regulatory, commercial and legal aspects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Good sense of humour and positive attitude, ability to interact with and motivate project team members
  • Fluency in written and spoken English essential; German highly desirable
