The protection of your personal data is of great importance to the E.ON Group companies. We operate our data processing in accordance with the laws on data protection (in particular the General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR] and the Federal Data Protection Act [BDSG]) and data security. Provision of the website and log files

Each time our website is accessed, data and information are collected by an automated system. These are stored in the so-called log files. These are files in which processes running in a computer or network system are logged.

The processing of this information serves to protect against or trace hacker and cyber attacks, to ensure the functionality of our information technology systems, and to ensure and improve the functionality of the websites. The data of the log files are always stored separately from other personal data of the users.

This processing is carried out based on the legitimate interest (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in the proper and secure operation of the website, also in your interest. We take your legitimate interest into account through measures for anonymisation and pseudonymisation wherever possible.

Essentially, the following data is collected during the operation of our website:

  • IP address
  • domain name of the website from which you came
  • websites that you have visited in our offer
  • names of accessed files
  • date and time of access
  • name of your internet service provider
  • if applicable, operating system and browser version of your device
  • language

The personal data will be deleted or anonymized after 30 days at the latest, unless we are legally obliged to retain them, or the storage is permitted on the basis of a legal justification.

About cookies and scripts

We use different technologies to operate the website securely and to enable you to visit the website comfortably.

On the one hand, when you visit our website, data is stored or read out in so-called "cookies" as well as in the local memory of your browser (hereinafter collectively referred to as "cookies") on your device.

Data recipients, service providers, data transfer to third countries

E.ON SE transmits data from web analysis to the E.ON Group companies specified in the respective job advertisement for the purpose of measuring performance.

For these purposes, the E.ON Group companies also have services performed by carefully selected and commissioned service providers (such as IT service providers). Commissioned service providers are contractually obliged to comply with data protection and security requirements. As part of the provision of services, service providers or subcontractors based in a third country also process personal data. The transfer to third countries takes place in compliance with the data protection requirements of the EU and national law, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or suitable guarantees (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses). You may request further information and obtain copies of guarantees at any time.

Other data recipients may be public bodies (e.g., police, public prosecutor's office, tax authorities, supervisory authorities) in justified cases, or other commissioned third parties (e.g., lawyers, auditors) in the context of their commission.

Your rights

We are happy to provide you with information about whether and which of your personal data is stored by us and to whom we may have passed it on. In accordance with the statutory provisions, you can assert the following further rights: correction, deletion, restriction of processing (blocking for certain purposes), data portability.

In addition, you can object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your situation, in particular for purposes of advertising, market or opinion research.

If you have given your consent, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future.

We process and store your data only as long as we need it to fulfil the specific purpose and delete or anonymise it after expiry of statutory or contractual retention periods.
