Your tasks:

  • Support sustainability projects with a focus on hydrogen with modelling, market & regulatory expertise
  • Advise on risk & pricing components for the evaluations of respective business cases
  • Develop python-based optimization models to determine the optimized production schedule and flex potential of electrolysers while considering fluctuations from renewable PPAs, related regulatory, technical, and commercial aspects
  • Lead the implementation of scalable operational optimization models together with software developers to commercialize flex potentials of electrolysers and H2 derivative products under consideration of storage restrictions and customer requirements in a portfolio context.
  • Work together with the Green Gas business unit of E.ON and the regional sales units of E.ON to develop hydrogen/sustainability projects in different regions
  • Develop jointly with Origination bespoke commercial concepts to structure PPAs and supply concepts for the different hydrogen projects
  • Support the development of customer propositions and supply solutions for hydrogen customers

 

Your profile:

  • University degree in mathematics, energy economics, natural sciences or comparable studies
  • Passion for solving optimization problems with a strongly analytical and structured way of thinking
  • Extensive experience in energy economics and mathematical modelling in python
  • Passionate and highly motivated personality
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and deliver valuable solutions while taking personal pride in the quality of your work
  • Eager to collaborate within the E.ON organization in Europe remotely and locally
  • Embracing opportunities to learn and develop yourself
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, good command of another European language is seen as a plus
