As a Senior Data & AI Consultant (f/m/d), you create real business impact and accelerate the energy transition. You are a point of contact at all levels when it comes to analytics. From the C-suite to operations, together with our skilled team of data scientist and data engineers you will support our colleagues in the energy networks segment by providing guidance and implementing cutting-edge data and AI solutions that meet their requirements.

What you are responsible for  

• Collaborating closely with business experts and high-level management in the energy industry to understand their needs and derive impactful use cases aimed at accelerating the energy transition.
• Teaming up with our team of experts to design data-driven solutions that have global impact and scale across E.ON.
• Analysing large datasets from the energy sector to extract actionable insights and facilitate informed decision-making processes.
• Developing data-driven solutions tailored to address specific challenges within the energy sector.
• Providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of AI-driven solutions.
• Consulting our colleagues from the business in data related topics e.g. with training offerings.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our offerings and remain at the forefront of innovation in the energy sector.
• Sharing your ideas and convincing to go new ways.

What you are good at  

• You have a degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related technical discipline or other significant work experience.
• You have profound professional experience as a data & AI consultant in a client-facing role (acting as a bridge between data experts and business, facilitating effective communication and collaboration).
• You have a demonstrated ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
• You have profound hands-on experience in ML solution development and deployment on Azure (end-to-end). Ideally also insights into operating data-driven solutions.
• You have profound hands-on experience with ML orchestration platforms (Databricks, AzureML or similar) and popular ML frameworks (e.g. Torch, Tensorflow, SKLearn).
• You have experience in software engineering with Python (ideally also in SQL and Spark) and know about common best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing, code reviews, etc.).
• Excellent writing and communication skills, considering varying levels of precision and matching the audience.
• Fluent in German and English
