Responsibilities

• Trading of European Gas and Spreads along the entire forward curve
• Bear P&L-responsibility and continuously track the risks of positions
• Act as market interface for Portfolio Management
• Generate value through proprietary position taking and flow trading
• Understand global market fundamentals and other price drivers to develop trading strategies
• Contribute to development of gas trading analysis and modelling
• Coach and mentor more junior colleagues on trading and analysis
• Ensure business compliance, manage positions and risk limits according to E.ON policy
• Openly communicate and discuss positions, trading strategies and market opportunities to maximize E.ON Group value

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with a significant mathematical content and / or in Engineering or Economics
• Ideally multiyear trading experience in the energy markets with a focus on EU Gas
• Exposure to the physical gas markets and LNG advantageous 
• Proven track record and financial performance
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Capabilities to drive colleagues and take a leading role in the team
• Thorough understanding of European energy market fundamentals and interaction of commodities/markets
• Stress resistant and highly reliable
• Willing to be based in London or Essen
