Project Manager

Here's what you'll be doing

The E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £8billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for the set-up, management and delivery of projects within I&C. This role provides a great opportunity to work with various stakeholders across the business This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 2-3 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive allocated I&C projects through to implementation, delivering to high quality standards within the agreed governance framework incorporating one or more time/cost/quality levers as appropriate.
  • Provides expert guidance to the project team to support the improved delivery of change.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules including formal initiation and closure of the assigned project.
  • Oversee the necessary commercial arrangements (work orders) required for third party providers and necessary approvals and governance.
  • Define and agree budget, gain budget approval via company procedures, forecast, track and report costs and benefits to ensure delivery to approved budget, and clear visibility of forecast benefits.
  • Own and manage all relevant stakeholders of the project and keep them informed and engaged.
  • Lead multi-functional project team, matrix managed reports and third-party solution partners, coaches for success to enable team to grow and develop.

What we need from you

  • Demonstrated track record of enhancing performance through effective leadership, empowerment, and personal growth in a challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in influencing key stakeholders at various levels within the organization, fostering comprehension of intricate matters and providing clear and definitive guidance.
  • Extensive expertise and hands-on experience with Business Analysis tools and techniques across multiple delivery methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.

It would be great if you had

  • Knowledge within the energy industry and experience or understanding of the structure and organisation of utilities and their core activities.
