We're using Gatsby and React with TypeScript on the frontend, along with GraphQL to get data from our APIs. We're using GraphQL Modules and AWS lambda functions to keep things organised in our "Backend for Frontend" and we're styling everything with PostCSS.
Everything is hosted in AWS and we’re lucky enough to have CI/CD fully enabled alongside GitLab as our complete DevOps platform. Terraform also means we deploy infrastructure as code.
We're very proud of our current tech stack. We are at the leading edge of technology and with the help and guidance of all our software engineers, we want to keep it that way.

A taste of what you’ll be doing.
- Create applications using Python to automate backend processes
- Use a Serverless first approach to application design
- Work in an agile team with other backend engineers and product designers.
- Plan, build, test, and release new features and experiments.
- Mentor other team members through pair programming and code reviews.
- Help solve the challenges that come with large-scale systems and lots of data.

- Experience with a scripting language, preferably Python
- Experience with developing applications hosted in AWS
- Experience with Serverless Computing such as Lambda and API Gateway
- Experience developing Apollo GraphQL
Plus, experience in the following would be a bonus:
- AWS Engineering in general, managing resources etc.
- Terraform, Packer, Consul
- Django (or equiv. web framework)
- Domain modelling
- HTTP and REST APIs
- Writing robust and fault-tolerant software
- Celery and async processing
- Postgres
- Plus experience in the following would be a bonus:
- React and Redux
- Experience using Gatsby
- Experience with unit testing, preferably Jest and Cypress
- Excellent software design, problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
What else do I need to know?
- We’re setting up cool new offices in Leicester and London with Leicester as our bigger operational site to start with and London where we’ll house our Tech department and where this role is based
