Working Student - DevOps & Infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
Job description
We are looking for a motivated and curious Working Student to support our DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure team. You’ll help maintain and develop our internal systems, automate processes, and contribute to the stability and scalability of our platforms – primarily built on Microsoft Azure. This is a great opportunity to work hands-on with modern DevOps and cloud-native tools while gaining experience in a real-world energy tech environment.
Tasks
- Assist in managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using GitLab pipelines
- Support cloud infrastructure operations on Microsoft Azure
- Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate system and deployment tasks
- Support observability and monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch
- Help maintain and optimize our PostgreSQL databases
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and operations to ensure smooth deployments and integrations
- Participate in infrastructure and platform discussions with the team
Qualifications
- Enrolled student in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Initial experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., VMs, AKS, Blob Storage, Azure Monitor)
- Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab)
- Comfort with Linux environments and Bash scripting
- Interest or experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch)
- Basic understanding of PostgreSQL
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Bonus: Interest in renewable energy, smart grids, or sustainability topics
