Job description

Be the strategic lead for the digitalization of E.ON’s Finance Functions (Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Finance, Finance Services, Investor Relations, M&A) as well as for the business support for the Group reporting and consolidation team. Managing two teams of Finance professionals, you will closely collaborate with senior Finance leadership on a local and global level. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Review the definition, and lead the socialization and implementation / roadmap of the Digital Finance strategy of E.ON

  • Own the Finance Digital budget and decide on the allocation process and criteria for funding to ensure optimal use of resources

  • Lead the decision-making process for digital Finance initiatives, guiding senior leadership through impact, risks, costs, and timelines

  • Act as the main point of contact for senior leadership in prioritizing and positioning digital Finance initiatives within the broader Corporate / Finance strategy

  • Make decisions on digital Finance Group governance policies and ensure alignment across all Finance digitalization projects

  • Act as a partner to local leadership, managing the interface between Finance and IT, while ensuring that interests and capabilities are effectively communicated and aligned across the organization

  • Ensure connectivity and continuous efficiency improvements in business support for Group reporting and consolidation in collaboration with Group Accounting / Controlling and Finance Services teams

  • Review and define the future vision for business support for the Group reporting and consolidation team

  • Act as the primary contact for senior leadership regarding business support for Group reporting and consolidation

A convincing background:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology or similar

  • Minimum of 10 years of subject matter expertise in Finance Functions from previous positions in Controlling / Accounting / Tax / Treasury and IT / Digital

  • Several years of experience in a leadership role with ability to lead multiple projects at a time and guide senior leadership decision making

  • You have a strategic mindset to drive the broader corporate agenda and a passion for implementing innovation

  • Excellent presentation and strong communication skills

  • You build reliable relationships and enjoy networking in the wider E.ON (Finance) group

  • You are an empathetic, solution-oriented, and inspiring leader with a hands-on mentality

  • Fluency in English and ideally in German
