Job description
At “Accounting Principles” within Group Accounting, you’ll lay the foundation for financial integrity, sustainable performance, and strategic decision-making. You’ll help develop group-wide accounting standards, translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions, and actively drive the digitalization and standardization of our processes. - Process and develop audit-proof and customer-tailored solutions for complex fundamental issues of group accounting and external reporting in the E.ON Group
- Provide trainings for E.ON´s groupwide financial community
- Specify and further develop E.ON´s group accounting standards / IFRS Accounting Guideline
- Monitor the development of regulatory financial reporting requirements and represent E.ON in Accounting Bodies & Communities / Lead and drive groupwide implementation projects for new Accounting Standards
- Support & advise groupwide projects (M&A etc.) regarding accounting impacts
- Steer and Coordinate our Group Auditor and potential BAFIN-Audits
A convincing background: :
- Graduate degree in Business Administration/ Economics with focus on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with strong academic record or similar qualification
- Several years of professional experience in accounting according to IFRS in an international industrial company or a Big 4 audit company
- An exam as an auditor or a doctorate degree would be appreciated
- Strong analytical skills combined with pragmatic spirit
- Team player with effective communication skills coupled with assertiveness and good presentation skills
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills and ability for good interdepartmental "cooperation" with an ability to build trustful relations
- Digital mindset and interest in developing and expanding collaborative and agile working methods such as Scrum or Kanban
- High level of self-organisation, commitment, personal drive and energy as well as high willingness to constantly learn and develop and to drive change
- High sense of responsibility and reliability
- Fluent in Business English and German
