Job description

Your tasks

  • You deliver analysis of the price and fundamental development of the global commodity markets, to assess possible future movements of price levels and spreads in the European commodity markets.
  • You closely cooperate with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions on commercial strategies.
  • You provide market analysis for assets or structured transactions through scenario analysis to enhance optimal Group-wide decision making.
  • You support the build and further maturity of a large, international energy customer portfolio as part of E.ON's transformation program.
  • You analyse energy market data to identify trading opportunities including opportunities for managing E.ON’s group portfolio (>200 TWh power & gas) through hedging decisions and open position management in forward markets with a focus on long- and midterm portfolio strategies.
  • You collaborate on the development of trading models and strategies.
  • You prepare reports on trading performance and market analysis and present these to a wide variety of audiences, from traders to board members.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree or comparable qualification.
  • Proven experience in the European energy markets in either a commercial, analytical, or consulting role(s).
  • Strong commercial mindset, which you combine with an analytical and structured way of thinking and strong motivation to deliver commercial results.
  • Excellent communication skills in combination with assertiveness and engagement.
  • Joy to work both within a highly motivated team and independently combined with taking on own responsibility.
  • Embracing opportunities to learn and develop yourself through working with colleagues across all of E.ON’s operating regions.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, another European language is seen as a plus.
