Your Tasks

As a part of an interdisciplinary team, you 

  • Take responsibility and ownership for all (onsite) IT projects and processes within EEP’s plant portfolio (new projects and existing plants) with main focus on
    • local/onsite hardware and software 
    • process information systems
    • network and telecommunication's cabling (Cat, Fiber Optics, etc.)
    • security, card access and CCTV systems
    • interface to all OT equipment, mainly plant control systems
  • Support the technical and commercial teams in the concept and procurement phase of new projects, including onsite IT specifications and negotiations with suppliers
  • Supervise suppliers during the plant construction and commissioning phase on site (incl. documentation) considering budget, time schedule and quality
  • Participate in operation & maintenance activities of IT/OT components during the operation phase
  • Manage and optimise the interfaces between site components and central IT systems for asset management and energy trading
  • Coordinate and co-operate closely with central and onsite operations teams, E.ON group internal and external IT service partners, as well as customers
  • Implement legal and E.ON group internal cyber security guidelines and continuously improve cyber security in alignment with our IT Security team

 

Your Profile

  • Experience in process and communication systems and architecture (components as listed above)
  • IT knowledge in different fields (e.g. structured cabling networks, Win-Server Administration, …)
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols (OPC, PROFINET, Modbus)
  • Project management skills (capability to focus not only on specific IT topics, but also project steering/tracking)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to discuss and “translate” topics between involved teams (engineering & construction, central and onsite operation teams, equipment & service suppliers, E.ON group functions)
  • Basic knowledge in power plant technology (OT), e.g. DCS (PCS7, T3000), PLC, plant network topology
  • Basic understanding of the specific requirements of OT vs. IT
  • Structured and target oriented, but also creative way of thinking
  • Willingness to travel (ca. 30% onsite presence within Europe)
  • Business fluent in German is a must, English is a plus
