Our Conversational Experience department within E.ON Digital Technology GmbH in Essen is looking for a Conversational Experience Expert (d/f/m).



  • You are responsible for the conversational design and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) training for all central managed bots (Chat and Voice) at E.ON
  • You design the conversational design as well as NLU to build natural conversations in German and English
  • You consult our business units developing their own conversational solutions and guide them on their conversation automation journey
  • You analyze historical conversations and monitor the bot performance to identify and built strategic recommendations to optimize the customer experience
  • You build best of class conversational AI Chat- and Voicebots
  • You collaborate with various stakeholders from different teams and projects to build long lasting relationships
  • You demonstrate how we can remain competitive in a fast paced environment by keeping an eye on industry trends and innovations to foster continuous improvements
  • You share your knowledge across the entire E.ON Group, conduct trainings, and upskill your project teams



  • You have several years of work experience within the area of Conversational AI / Conversational Experience Design
  • Profound knowledge on the most used conversational AI tools (e.g. Microsoft / Luis; Google / Dialogflow; AWS / Amazon Lex; IBM/ Watson; etc.)
  • Proven experience on customer journey design and analytics to measure the effectiveness of customer journey designs
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies, as well as Design Thinking
  • Ability to gather and collect requirements from end-users to build up target models
  • Hands-on mentality with a very creative mindset
  • You are a team player and love to communicate openly
  • Excellent German and English skills, additional European languages would be a plus
  • You are willing to travel across Europe
