Analyst

Here's what you'll be doing

The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.

Right now, we're looking for x4 Analysts to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis.  For this role, you will analyse data to identify discrepancies whilst continually improving internal processes and produces to enhance efficiency within the team. This role offers a great opportunity to work with various stakeholders within the business. You will have strong analytical skills and as such will have the ability to amend data errors and process exceptions. You will also be able to provide feedback to front-line teams to ensure data quality is improved and maintained. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather customer data and gains insight into customer needs
  • Participate in reviewing and adapting processes in the light of changes, and adopts new work approaches
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Understanding of Company Health and Safety and DSE policies.
  • Ensure all actions and behaviours treat our customers fairly and comply with regulations
  • Investigate and respond to a broad range of complex customer queries, liaising with other parties as necessary, to deliver an appropriate, acceptable resolution for the customer. 
  • Complete a broad range of complex transactions across the functional area, to ensure accurate processing of information.
  • Provide regular feedback on work in progress and decisions on workload priorities to ensure workloads are appropriately managed and performance standards met.
  • Maintain awareness of industry and company policy which influence local procedures, highlight local issues, and suggest possible improvements to local working practices to ensure tasks are appropriately handled, right first time.
  • Support of process failures, whereby data flows have failed to load into the relevant systems, updating all important information.

What we need from you

  • Good analytical and numerical skills, and an ability to analyse data to identify discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prioritisation / organisation skills.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Good IT application skills including Excel.

It would be great if you had

  • Knowledge of the greater business, including metering and the retail environment.
  • An understanding of industry data flows Power & Gas.
